Regarding The H-type Water Rotary Joint, All The Information You Need Is Here.

The H-type rotary joint, also known as the cooling water rotary joint, is a series of products specifically designed for cooling applications. It is widely used in equipment that requires water cooling.

The cooling water not only flows within the equipment but also needs to achieve sealed transmission between the rotating components and the stationary pipelines. Once the seal fails, the cooling water leaks. In mild cases, it may cause the equipment to overheat and shut down; in severe cases, it may even lead to safety accidents. The H-type rotary joint was developed to solve this problem.

Core Selling Points of H-Type Water Rotary Joint

1. Compact Size, Light Weight, Low Friction Torque

The H-type water rotary joint is designed with the structural characteristics of cooling equipment in mind. It is compact, lightweight, and features extremely low friction torque. This means it can be easily adapted to various types of equipment, placing almost negligible load on the main drive – making it especially suitable for high-speed applications.

2. Balanced Mechanical Seal – Wear-Resistant & Leak-Free

The H-type rotary joint adopts a balanced mechanical seal design. What does that mean? Simply put, the pressure on both sides of the seal ring is nearly equal, effectively reducing seal face wear caused by sealing loads.

The selection of seal face materials is also critical. Depending on the medium, we use different friction pair combinations such as impregnated graphite, bronze, tungsten carbide, or silicon nitride – capable of withstanding impurities like rust, scale, and debris that can damage sealing surfaces. The sealing components are machined on CNC and specialized lapping machines, achieving a mirror-like surface finish for superior reliability. To put it bluntly: even if your water quality is poor, our joint is built to last.

3. High-Precision Rolling Bearings for Smooth Operation

Inside the H-type rotary joint, two precision rolling bearings provide support, ensuring smooth and flexible operation with low friction. This allows the joint to run at 1000 RPM or even higher under high-speed conditions. In addition, O-rings are installed on the outer rings of the bearings to effectively prevent sediment from accumulating in the bearing gaps and causing premature failure.

4. Corrosion-Resistant Materials for Harsh Water Quality

Many customers have cooling water systems with poor water quality – sometimes even seawater or brine. The H-type rotary joint uses corrosion-resistant materials for its components. The housing can be made of brass or stainless steel, allowing it to handle poor-quality water with ease. Meanwhile, the sealing materials are self-lubricating, further extending service life.

5. Easy Seal Replacement and Maintenance

Like any mechanical component, the H-type rotary joint has a limited service life. However, we designed our product with easy maintenance in mind. When the seals wear out, replacement is extremely simple – assembly and disassembly are very convenient.

Applications: Wherever Cooling Is Needed, H-Type Is There

The H-type water rotary joint has an extremely wide range of applications, covering nearly every industrial field that requires cooling water circulation:

  • Steel & Metallurgy: Continuous caster roll cooling, cold rolling lines

  • Plastics & Rubber: Plastic calenders, internal mixers, rubber extruder cooling

  • Textile & Dyeing: Bed sheet bleaching and washing machines, mercerizing machines, flat washing machines, drying equipment

  • Paper Industry: Paper machinery cooling systems

  • Chemical & Pharmaceutical: Reactor cooling, coating machinery

  • Food Industry: Cooling water circulation equipment for food production lines

  • Power & Military: Various types of cooling equipment

In short, wherever cooling water is needed to cool rotating equipment, the H-type rotary joint is a reliable solution.

Shandong Focus Machinery Co., Ltd. tells you: choosing the right model is more important than anything else.

Single-flow or dual-flow?
H-type rotary joints are divided into HD series (single-flow) and HS series (dual-flow).
The single-flow type is suitable for simple water inlet or outlet applications, while the dual-flow type allows water inlet and outlet to occur simultaneously.
The HS series is further divided into fixed inner tube and rotating inner tube designs. The specific selection depends on your equipment structure.

Threaded or flanged connection?
The connection between the outer tube and the equipment journal can be either threaded or flanged.
If you choose a threaded connection, please note that the rotation direction must be opposite to the rotation direction of the equipment roller. This ensures that the threads tighten as they rotate, preventing loosening or detachment.
