      The steam rotary joint is the key component connecting the drum and the steam pipeline, and the precision of its own processing is relatively high, especially the spherical sealing ring, spherical rotor, etc., if the disassembly method is not suitable or used improperly, the assembled rotary joint will not only fail to achieve the purpose of sealing, but also damage the assembled sealing elements.

Let's take a closer look at it in a few steps:
      1. Remove: When removing the screw joint on the equipment, you should wait for the fluid (heat transfer oil, steam, etc.) in the equipment to cool down, and then loosen the metal hose with two wrenches (pipe wrenches), because the metal hose has a thin wall, once it is twisted, it is easy to leak, if it is a hose, it is an exception, and pay attention to safety at the same time;
      2. Disassembly: When disassembling the steam rotary joint, it is best to keep the original state of the internal parts, so as to analyze the cause of the leakage, especially when opening the end cover and taking out the spring, pay attention to safety, some of the long-used rotary joints may not be able to be disassembled because of serious corrosion;
     3. Inspection and repair: The failure of the spherical ring in the spherical friction pair is one of the main reasons for the leakage of the steam rotary joint, followed by the spherical rotor, which should be the focus of inspection and replacement:

      (1) Whether the sealing surface of the spherical sealing ring is scratched or has three-point intermittent contact problems, if so, it needs to be replaced, and it needs to be run-in with the spherical rotor before replacing;
      (2) The spherical surface of the spherical rotor, whether there are scratches, spots or serious corrosion problems;
      (3) Whether there are obvious defects such as sand holes and scratches on the bottom surface of the shell (the part of the spherical sealing ring);
      (4) Whether the end cap has been elastically failed or broken;
      (5) Whether the spring has elastically failed or has been broken;
      (6) Other reasons caused by transportation, collision, etc.

      4. Preparation for installation
      (1) The spherical surface of the spherical ring and the spherical rotor are best simply run-in for a few minutes on the drilling machine, and the bottom surface of the spherical ring is on the fine sandpaper of the glass plane, and the grinding is in the shape of "8" for several minutes;
      (2) The bottom surface of the shell is best polished and plated after fine turning, and it is also one of the main sealing surfaces;
      (3) Replace the asbestos mat and clean the original asbestos mat at the same time.
     5. Installation
      Turn the shell that needs to be repaired upside down (the bottom surface is coated with butter), put it into the spherical ring coated with butter on the bottom surface, and then put the rotor with buttered on the bottom surface (handle it carefully, replay may touch the spherical surface into cracks), and finally the cylindrical ring and the shell interference are durable, the spring, end cover, and end cover connecting bolts are tightened diagonally, pay attention to eye safety, idle the rotor with your hand to see if it is too tight, connect the metal hose, elbow, etc. install the equipment, and try to use the stop hole.

       In particular, it needs to be reminded that because the appearance of the steam rotary joint is more, the order of putting parts and accessories in the installation process may be different, if the customer does not have processing equipment such as a drilling machine, he can idle for a few minutes first, and then start the machine normally.
